DNP = My degree. Doctor of Nursing Practice. I spent 4 years at the University of Minnesota earning a Doctoral Degree in order to do Advanced Nursing Practice
APRN-CNP = Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Certified Nurse Practitioner. This is the license provided by the State of Minnesota that allows me to legally practice in our state.
PMHNP-BC = Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified. This is the credentials I received after passing the nationally recognized certification exam demonstrating knowledge and ability to provide competent care.
